What? It looks just like the mask and outfit from the first three? Oh. Yeah.

The Comic-Con “Thor” trailer has made its way to the Internet and if you can catch it here before it’s removed, you can watch the whole movie in just five minutes. Seriously, after watching this trailer, you can save your money and tell everyone you’ve already seen “Thor.” If you don’t fall asleep like I did at about 3:16.
‘Yogi Bear’ teaser trailer: Two talking bears and Anna Faris

Calm down! The suspense is over. Here’s the “Yogi Bear” teaser trailer I said would be here today. And it’s as probably just as you suspected, so you’re in luck.
Dan Aykroyd kind of sounds like Yogi. From what I can remember anyway. I mean I’m around 30 and I don’t remember the Yogi cartoons even being on television when I was a kid. I guess my parents might want to see this film. But who younger than them would?
Michael Cera and Chris Evans drop their pants
Add Your Comment »The stars of “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” have gone where few Hollywood mean go: full frontal nudity.
Michael Cera, Chris Evans and Jason Schwartzman dropped their trousers for August’s GQ, but of course it’s not completely full-frontal nudity. There’s a thoughtful little blur in just the right spots. At any rate, it’s hilarious. It’s done in complete humor. There’s really nothing sexual about it.
To see more of the photos, head over to GQ.
‘Yogi Bear’ poster is a pic-a-nic
Add Your Comment »The first poster for the live action/computer animated “Yogi Bear” has made its way to the Internet. And it looks just as I expected: like a fake Garfield-like movie with computer animated cartoon characters. Oh well. At least the movie has the phenomenal Anna Farris. Sarcasm? Wouldn’t you like to know.
I hear the trailer premiers tomorrow. So be on the edge of your seat waiting. I know I will.
‘Sucker Punch’ trailer arrives

The “Sucker Punch” trailer has arrived online and I still don’t know what the movie is about. I guess I should find a synopsis. Since one can’t depend on trailers to explain. What a concept. The trailer looks pretty though. My eyes were definitely turned on. It looks kind of like “Nine” mixed with “Mortal Combat.” Or something.
New ‘Let Me In’ trailer debuts
Add Your Comment »A new trailer for “Let Me In” premiered at Comic-Con. The movie, of course, is based on the Swedish film “Let The Right One In.”
The footage from the trailer looks phenomenal. But I’m a little worried they’ve “Americanized” the movie too much. Meaning they’ve bastardized the quiet horror film the original was. It looks like they may have made it into a jumpy, scary, bloody vampire movie. And that’s unfortunate. The original film was a nice mixture of quiet horror and sadness. That doesn’t mean the remake won’t be good, because it looks good. I just hope it holds some of the original’s class.
‘Mad Men’ season premier review: Everything old is new
4 Comments »The new season of “Mad Men” premiered last night and I was very disappointed. I seriously felt like I was watching some mid-season show about a bunch of people I don’t know.
Last season left of with the newly-formed Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. They were running their ad agency out of a hotel room. Don (Jon Hamm) and Betty (January Jones) were talking divorce. And other characters were doing their things. Then Season 4 happens. The new agency is thriving in a full office. Don and Betty are divorced. Betty is remarried. And half the characters who were doing their own thing aren’t even around now. I mean where the hell is Ken Cosgrove (Aaron Staton)? And who is that new guy working with Peggy (Elisabeth Moss)? It’s all very frustrating.
There were some things that remain the same, thankfully. I mean Don is still an a-hole. Sterling and Cooper still act like Don ruins everything. Peggy is still a wimp. Little Sally Draper is still a lisping bad seed. And Betty Draper is still one of the worst mothers on television. So I guess there’s still hope for this new season of “Mad Men.”
The show has never been heavily plot driven, so there wasn’t a lot going on last night. Don had a date with a new woman (played aptly by “True Blood” Season 3’s Anna Camp). Betty clashed with her new husband’s family. Peggy’s love interest is still around, but “she’s wearing the pants” (my only period reference, I promise). Don pays a prostitute to slap him. Don screws up an interview and makes the company look bad. He throws some clients out. He calls for a new interview to make the company look better.
It’s not the show that has made me mad. I’m just upset they jumped so far ahead. And didn’t explain anything. I don’t even know what year it is now. I’m guessing from the decor and fashion, it’s late 1965 (just before 1966). But maybe I’m wrong. Who knows. I just thought it was a poor season premier.
I’m sure within two weeks I will be back on board with this normally-amazing show. But for now, I’m mad. A mad man. Sorry, I had to do it.
‘Dexter’ Season 5 trailer debuts at Comic Con
Add Your Comment »Showtime’s “Dexter” panel at Comic Con yesterday unveiled the trailer for the serial killer drama’s fifth season.
(Spoiler alert: If you’re not caught up on Season 4, then you might want to stop reading).
The trailer looks to be from probably the first couple episodes of next season. I’m sure the re-shooting and editing process is still going on. But what we get to see is the story picks up just where last season left off. Dexter (Michael C. Hall) has discovered the body of his wife Rita (Julie Benz) dead in her bathtub at the hands of the Trinity killer (John Lithgow).
Dexter doesn’t know how to react to someone he is supposed to love being murdered and suspicions are immediately risen. From the trailer, we might have a Doakes story all over again with Quinn (Desmond Harrington). But I’m OK with that. These people are detectives. More of them should be suspect of Dexter. He works with them every day and despite the code he follows, Dexter isn’t exactly your model co-worker. So good for Quinn for being the only good detective for Miami Metro.
I’m glad the show is picking right up where it left off. I was afraid they’d jump ahead and cheat us out of immediate reactions to Rita’s death. And again, this is clearly only footage from the first couple episodes so who knows where the story goes beyond that. At any rate, I know it will be killer. “Dexter” is gold.
After the jump you’ll find the Season 5 trailer and a teaser/tribute to Rita.
‘Saw 3D’ trailer: The final chapter?
Add Your Comment »Hey look, everybody, it’s the final installment of the “Saw” franchise. And they’ve saved the best for last.
Yeah right. Last. Ha! Within a year we’ll have “Saw Lives!” Or “Bride of Saw.” Or “Saw vs. Jason.” It’s not over. Trust me. We couldn’t be so lucky.
