90210: Luke Perry Won’t Be Coming Home

I’ve previously reported on the return of many former 90210 castmates to The CW’s remake set to release this fall. First we had Jennie Garth join in and Tori Spelling followed shortly after. Even Ian Ziering leapt at the chance, then again he seems willing to do anything these days. Looks like the ride ends there though.
Luke Perry had been mum on the 90210 recast, but recently broke his silence with what will be disappointing news to his old fans:
“I can’t re-imagine it currently,” Perry told The Billy Bush Show Thursday.
“It’s just not something that I’ve thought about to be quite honest,” Perry, who played brooding rebel Dylan McKay revealed. “I don’t see it happening.”
As for his former castmates Spelling and Garth, “I wish them a lot of luck. I hope they have a lot of success with it,” Perry said.
Perhaps some “$$$” will help Perry think about it. Just depends on how much The CW feels they need the previous cast to boost the new group. Anything much more than cameos is going to keep this “next generation” of 90210′ers in the originals’ shadow and end up hurting the show in the long run.
