American Idol 2012 Jessica Sanchez said she knew Phillip Phillips was going to win all along. According to Hollywood Life, American Idol season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez pretty much knew her 2nd place fate was sealed the whole time.

According to her recent statement to the press,she knew that Phillip’s ultra hard work was going to pay off in the end. She said, “When they announced that it was Phillip, I was so happy. That’s why I gave him a big hug and I was smiling the whole time. I was like This fool is going to win and I love him so much.”

She went on to state that Phillip really deserved his first place finish. “Like literally, he has worked harder than all of us. We’ve all been working hard, but he’s been having to deal with his health issues, with his kidneys, and I think he’s been through a lot more than us mentally and physically.”
