Amy Sedaris has just signed on with 20th Century Fox TV to create, write, and star in a yet to be titled comedy series under David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants production company.

Amy Sedaris is most recently working on a brief story-arc within TNT’s The Closer and has spread her work over a spattering of shows, but is best known for her role of Jerri Blank in the comedy series “Strangers with Candy.”

No word yet on the subject matter of Sedaris’ new project though it’s said to be based on an idea she came up with six years ago. Whatever it is I’ll be excited to watch, but I’m hoping for something as edgy and entertaining as “Strangers.”
