Ashley Greene and Hayden Panettiere to Star in ‘Scream 4′

While writer Kevin Williamson and director Wes Craven are doing a great job at keeping the character details and plot under wraps, the word on the street is that Twilight’s Ashley Greene has been offered the lead, a girl named Jill who is cousins with Neve Campbell’s character, Sidney Prescot.

Along with Greene, two other young stars have being considered for roles. Heroes star, Hayden Panettiere may step in as the film-buff best friend of Jill and Rory Culkin may play a potential love interest for Greene’s character.

I really don’t mind the prospect of Ashley Greene playing the lead in this movie, and even Hayden Panettiere is tolerable as long as she’s not focused on as the “hot girl.” But…Rory Culkin? Seriously!? I can’t get over it, I have never found a single Culkin attractive in

all of my years and all of my Hollywood crushes. Can you ever see a chick that looks like Greene getting with a guy that looks like Culkin? Whatever, we’ll see if it flies. I personally adored the original Scream trilogy and I’m curious to see how the torch gets passed on to the newcomers. I am also thrilled to report that Courteney Cox and David Arquette will be returning as well. Also happy to report that Scream 4 will shoot in Michigan, starting this summer.
