Aziz Ansari keeps on bringing it – starring in new comedy and hosting MTV Movie Awards

Parks and Recreation star Aziz Ansari announced on his official Twitter page today that Mandate Pictures has picked up a new comedy based on a pitch that he made with Matt Hubbard (writer for TV’s 30 Rock). The film is currently untitled, but will be written by Harris Wittels, who currently writes for TV’s Parks and Recreation. The plot is also being kept under wraps, but something in my gut is already hoping that somehow, some way, Seth Rogen will be a part of it. Wouldn’t it be beautiful??

If you can’t wait to hear more from Aziz Ansari, check him out hosting the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 6th @ 9PM Eastern. Aziz recently teamed up with Kristen Bell of the upcoming comedy You Again to film a promo for the Awards. If you don’t laugh at this, I don’t know why we’re even friends.
