Criminal Minds season 12 bringing back Emily Prentiss character for action,new details. According to a new report from TV Line, the Criminal Minds season 12 crew has hired actress, Paget Brewster (left) to reprise her role, Emily Prentiss.

It sounds like she’ll be a recurring/semi-regular character as she currently scheduled to appear in a lot of episodes.

They were recently able to get her back on the show when she lost her gig on FOX’s Grandfathered due to it getting canceled and all. Paget hit up her official Twitter page to announce her return, writing: “Yes! I’m shooting a whole bunch of episodes this year @CrimMinds_CBS! And it was so damn hard not telling you.”

Erica Messer who is the showrunner, had some great things to say about Paget’s return, stating: “We’re excited to have Paget Brewster back for multiple episodes in our 12th season. The BAU can use more help this year since they’ve got a lot of known and unknown subjects to catch.”

The last time Paget was seen on the show, was actually this past Spring when her character brought an international manhunt to her friends’ front door. Season 12 is set to premiere on Wednesday night, September 28th, 2016 at 8pm central time on CBS. Stay tuned.
