Dimension has a lot of bad ideas: ‘Scream 4;’ reboots of ‘Short Circuit,’ ‘Werewolf’

Bob Wieinstein of Dimension Films tells Variety that Dimension is going to get back to doing what it does best. Which I can only guess is delusional film making.
Apparently he thinks they’ll be doing something good by making a “Scream 4” and rebooting the untouchable “An American Werewolf in London.” He said there are also plans to remake “Short Circuit” and sequel horror films “Hellraiser” and “Scanners.”
I do believe he also mentioned 3D about 100 times to Variety. So if any of these movies actually get made, expect them to all be in 3D. Am I the only one tired of 3D? My mind isn’t that easily fooled, people. I still know I’m sitting in a theater watching a piece of fiction. And those glasses give me a headache.
Of these, “Scream 4″ is the most likely to happen since they just signed Neve Campbell. Courteney Cox and David Arquette will also return. No surprise there. I think they’ve got lifetime contracts or something. Snore fest.
I am truly appauled at the idea of remaking “An American Werewolf in London.” I could easily list 100 reasons why, but will only bother you with the No. 1 reason: It’s perfect the way it is. You cannot improve unpon it.
