Update: WENN is reporting that the producers of “Do Not Disturb” have denied its cancellation. Then again the same article also reports that the series stars Jason Bateman. It doesn’t. Apparently they can’t tell the difference between Jerry O’Connell and Jason Bateman. Hmm, is the article 50% or 100% wrong?

Updated Update: I win! IMDb quickly updated the article after I submitted an error report. I accomplished something today, so I can go home now, right?

Gee, who would have guessed that the award for the first canceled TV show of Fall 2008 would go to FOX? Oh, okay, apparently it was everyone.

Jerry O’Connell and Niecy Nash (Reno 911!) won’t be appearing together on television again next week now that FOX’s comedy “Do Not Disturb” was pulled after just three episodes with a 13% drop in viewership from week 2 to 3. Maybe Jerry’s friends forgot and went out to the bar that night instead.

FOX is claiming that the series could return to the airwaves, but I’d doubt it. When ratings go that low that early things don’t tend to work out again. Instead, FOX plans to air reruns of “Till Death” in the vacated timeslot. Yeah, like that’ll help (”Death” dropped 26% this week).
