First Look: Poster for ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ starring Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts has a tendency to star in movies that I want to turn my nose up at, but simply can’t. Just when I think, oh eyeroll, she’s doing another soul-searching romantic movie about her and some sexy dude I can’t ever obtain…she pulls off capturing my attention and my interest despite it. Maybe it is because I have girlie parts, who knows, but her new film Eat, Pray, Love looks like one of those movies I will sit on the couch and dive into, while also consuming a ridiculous amount of snacks.
Eat, Pray, Love is based on the book Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia, by author Elizabeth Gilbert. It seems from the preview that the movie follows the book pretty closely – woman has a messy divorce, this feeds the desire to soul search, this prompts her to take a year off and explore the world as well as herself. The preview gives off a vibe of inspiration and empowerment, and if anyone call pull that off, it’s Julia Roberts, for sure.
