Well you won’t see Jason all done up in costume in the video below, but you will watch scared teenagers run for safety and then a very drawn out reveal of Jason’s mask. MTV got the exclusive look at Jason’s mask in a visit to the set and brought us back this video.

“Friday the 13th” is another installment in the series of horror remakes from Platinum Dunes, a production company run by Michael Bay. Apparently Bay’s motto at Platinum Dunes is: “If someone else has already done it well and made lots of money from it we should unnecessarily remake it and take that money for ourselves!” These are the same folks that brought the unpleasant Texas Chainsaw Massacre to theaters.

From what I’ve read so far they aren’t trying to update or change the story, simply remake it. Again, begging the question: Why?

‘Friday the 13th’ is planned for release on Friday the 13th, February 2009.
