Jason Statham is the leading man in the remake of “Death Race 2000″, which will just go by “Death Race” this time around. Good choice.

Things look about as cheesy as they can get (Did she really have to say, “the only rule is there are no rules”?), but there will be fast cars, bullets flying, and loosely clothed women. Sure, sounds like every prison I’ve ever broken out of by winning a car race.

‘Death Race’ pulls into theaters on August 22, 2008.
