Jimmy Fallon Previews New Show; Obscured By Leno News

Sorry, Jimmy but that was bad timing on NBC’s part. On Monday NBC released the first video from Jimmy Fallon’s daily video messages as he preps for his move into his Late Night position. On Monday night news leaked that Jay Leno wouldn’t be leaving NBC late night after all, but instead would be airing weeknights at 10pm instead of 11:30pm.

EW has an excellent write-up on how this move will save NBC roughly a million dollars a week compared producing weekly dramas.

Unfortunately for Fallon this huge news eclipsed our first look at his show with some behind the scenes details. Lucky for you I’ve got the video below which features Fallon on his new, but yet to be built, set and his house band, The Roots.

What do you think? I think Fallon, or his camera guy, needs to learn to hold steady for a single moment as the shaky-cam makes me expect the Cloverfield monster to bust in.
