katherine_heigl_drunkKatherine Heigl is an ungrateful, diva bitch. She was blessed with the opportunity to be the lead actress in Judd Apatow’s comedy “Knocked Up” and then slammed it for what she found to be an offensive portrayal of women (I’m sure that didn’t stop her from cashing those checks though). Then Heigl started digging her heels into ABC‘s “Grey’s Anatomy” which put her on the map in the first place when she withdrew herself from the Emmy considerations because, according to her, the writers of “Grey’s” weren’t giving her Emmy worthy material.

Pissing on the writers is never a good idea, leading many to believe her character would soon develop a brain tumor. At first things remained smooth at the PR-level, but eventually there was no denying it. Heigl wanted out of her contract and the show wanted her gone. Voila! Enter tumor stage left.

Guess what now. Heigl’s suddenly realized she lacks the star power she once had and now really wants to stay on at “Grey’s Anatomy”:

Katherine Heigl said Friday she’s ready to stay with “Grey’s Anatomy” and the decision rests with the show.

Attending a studio party to mark the ABC medical drama’s 100th episode, Heigl said it’s premature to think her days as Dr. Izzie Stevens are numbered.

“I don’t know if I live or die. I don’t know how Izzie fares,” said the actress, who’s played the character since the show debuted in 2005.

“I’m there” if Izzie remains part of “Grey’s Anatomy,” Heigl said. She called the set “one of my favorite places to be” and said her colleagues are also friends.

On Friday, Heigl said she’s comfortable balancing movies and TV by working on big-screen projects during the summer hiatus for “Grey’s Anatomy.”

“I’m more than happy to make that compromise.”

Ahh, suddenly she wants to stay and loves everyone involved. That’s quite a turn around from last summer. My suggestion: keep her character in the plot but make her a mute quadriplegic with one of those blowing-straw operated wheelchairs as a result of the brain surgery. She’ll have to show up every week for work but have zero dialogue and plotlines that involve her crapping her pants at every turn. It’s a win-win.
