Law & Order SVU Pretties Up The Place With New ADA

Law & Order: SVU looks to be making some wise decisions with the news that they’ve cast Michaela McManus (One Tree Hill) to join on as the new Assistant District Attorney. I was never much of a fan of the previous (and very long running at 7 years) ADA played by Diane Neal with her “I’m afraid of getting a tan” attitude. That can be an attitude, right? So anyway, Neal is out, along with Adam Beach who only made it through one of his two years of contract options (phew).

Out with the old and in with the new and I like where they’re going with this. Not to say Richard Belzer isn’t as good looking as perhaps we deserve as loyal L&O fans, wait, yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying. I think I’ll be watching more of SVU this season after all!

Fun note: Someone over at E! (Kristin Dos Santos) is suspiciously bitter as she throws the backhanded jab over Michaela McManus’ new role. Immediately after noting McManus’ previous casting in One Tree Hill she makes sure to point out McManus was just a receptionist at E!’s gym prior to her TV career. Aww, is someone upset that they’ve been relegated to writing a blog instead? Hey, wait!
