Martin Scorsese’s SHUTTER ISLAND Trailer Released – Looks Awesome
The first trailer has finally been released for Martin Scorsese’s thriller “Shutter Island” and it looks awesome! I’m a complete sucker for the supernatural, mysterious location, something wacky going on kind of movies and “Island” looks right up that alley.
I’m thinking we’ve got a mix of “Wicker Man,” “Silent Hill,” “The House on Haunted Hill,” and a bunch of others in the genres. Sure, those might not be the most top notch films, but that’s what makes the involvement of Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio so appealing with this one. Finally someone is doing these with the top-shelf ingredients.
The story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the cost of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.
