Glorious post-apocalyptic news this morning. /Film is spreading around awesome Terminator Salvation (T4) rumors and I’m eating ‘em up. Here’s the breakdown:

  • E! caught up w/ director McG who said in response to what surprises would be in store for T4, “I can’t talk about it. I can’t talk about the governor of California.”
  • Coming Soon reports that Linda Hamilton might make a reappearance as Sarah Connor, though only in narration: “After the presentation was over, we talked with McG at the cocktail reception that followed and asked him whether he planned on doing any sort of recap of the first two movies as an introduction for those who didn’t get a chance to see them. He said they were still trying to figure out what to do, but one option they came up with was to have Sarah Connor do a voiceover to open the movie.”
  • McG won’t be following the television series, “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, mythology (thank goodness) and will instead focus on what was left off in T3.
  • Latino Review had more details as well with the score: McG expects Elfman’s score to have a “a Wagnerian quality as well as use most of [T1 and T2 composer] Fiedel’s themes and ambient sounds.” And also the T4′s story focus: “Although the story will feature John Connor prominently, it will primarily center around the development of Kyle Reese’s character, who will be played by Anton Yelchin.”

I’m psyched for T4′s release this May and everything keeps sounding better at each step of the way.
