New Criminal Minds season 12 spoiler pic shows new BAU agent in heavy action. Recently, CBS served up this new spoiler pic for their upcoming Criminal Minds season 12, and it gives us a new look at actor, Adam Rodriguez, who was brought on as a series regular to fill the void that will be left by Shemar Moore’s Derek character.

Adam is playing character, Luke Alvez, who is a team leader on the FBI Fugitive Task Force. The showrunner, Erica Messer, told TV Line: “Luke ends up having this great action-y scene, where you really get to see him shine.

Having thus far helped round up eight of the 13 serial killers who escaped in the May finale, Alvez is invited by Rossi to join the BAU full-time, and he’s like, ‘I’m more about the chase. I don’t know if I can sit around and talk about it, but by the end of the first episode he’s like, ‘All right, I’m in!’”

As previously reported, we’re also going to see actress, Paget Brewster, show back up as Emily Prentiss. Actress, Aisha Tyler, is going to get more screen time with her character, Dr. Tara Lewis, getting bumped up to a series regular.

Season 12 is due to premiere on Wednesday night, September 28th, 2016 at 8pm central time on CBS. Stay tuned.
