New HQ Stills from ‘Jonah Hex’

“Revenge gets ugly,” is the tag-line for the Warner Bros. comic book film, Jonah Hex, in theatres June 18th. I REALLY hate to admit this, but I think it looks kinda sweet. Especially after seeing these stills that were released today (check out the thumbnails below). I am not all that familiar with the comic book itself, and I’m not even that impressed by the cast (OK so it’s Megan Fox and her horrible accent I’m not impressed with) but I still say that the preview itself looks pretty rad. Other cast members include: Josh Brolin, John Malkovich, Will Arnett (who just got a Twitter account), and Michael Shannon. The plot to the movie seems like it has some potential, and while I haven’t ever been a big fan of Westerns, even I have to admit that Megan Fox is looking better than usual in that corset…

Film Synopsis: Jonah Hex is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a tough and stoic gunslinger who can track down anyone… and anything. Having survived death, Jonah’s violent history is steeped in myth and legend, and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the “other side.” His only human connection is with Lila, whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own. Jonah’s past is about to catch up with him when the U.S. military makes him an offer he can’t refuse: in exchange for his freedom from the warrants on his head, he must track down and stop the dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull. But Turnbull, who is gathering an army and preparing to unleash Hell, is also Jonah’s oldest enemy and will stop at nothing until Jonah is dead.
