New Star Wars episode 7 movie getting made with a release date set for 2015. According to Collider and their sources, Disney Pictures has just bought out Lucasfilm for a huge $4.05 billion dollars,and are set to release and episode 7 installment for the popular Star Wars movies in 2015!

Not only that, they plan to follow that up with an 8th and 9th episode installment in 2017 and 2019. With this new acquisition,Disney has become a huge powerhouse,now owning Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. The official announcement was made by both companies yesterday morning,and it went a little something like this: “For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next.

It’s now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. I’ve always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime. I’m confident that with Lucasfilm under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy, and having a new home within the Disney organization, Star Wars will certainly live on and flourish for many generations to come.
