James Avery Of Fresh Prince Show sadly died due to heart complications other day. According to CNN, former “Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” Uncle Phil star, James Avery, sadly died this past Tuesday,December 31st,2013 from reported open-heart surgery complications at the age of 68.
James had the surgery on November 11th, and died on December 31st at a hospital in Glendale, California, according to James’ manager ,Toni Benson. Alfonso Ribeiro, who played James’ son, Carlton, on Fresh Prince, tweeted, “I’m deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. New Grudge Match movie got really bad reviews from top critics. Warner Bros. Pictures dropped their new comedy/drama film, “Grudge Match” into theaters this past Wednesday, December 25th, and the top movie critics in the biz, served up their reviews. The results ended up being pretty negative, overall, as it got an overall score of 37 out of 100 across 27 critic reviews at metacritic.com. We posted a few of their snippets (below). The movie stars: Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro, Kevin Hart, Alan Arkin, Kim Basinger, Jon Bernthal,and Camden Gray.
Odie Henderson at RogerEbert.com, awarded it a 63 score, stating, “Grudge Match belongs to a fast-growing genre I’ll call “Senior Citizen Action Porn,” or SCAP. Proud members of SCAP include “Red” and its sequel, “Red 2,” the “Expendables” series, and the best of the 2013 crop, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “The Last Stand.”
Mark Olsen at the Los Angeles Times, gave it a 60 score. It turns out that the results are pretty mixed as it got an overall 54 score out of 100 across 37 critic reviews at metacritic.com. The movie stars: Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn,and Sean Penn.
Joe Neumaier at the New York Daily News, gave it an exceptional 100 score, stating, “The story Stiller tells manages to float in a most peculiar, satisfying way.” Peter Keough from the Boston Globe, gave it a solid 75 score, stating, “The quest ends in a surprise Capra-esque resolution, which both satisfies and cloys.”
Kenneth Turan at the Los Angeles Times, awarded it a 70 score. He stated, “Stiller’s sensibility creates a movie that’s smarter than you think it will be.” Chris Nashawaty from Entertainment Weekly, gave it a 67 score, stating, “In the end, Walter Mitty is a film about acting out our dreams. New ’47 Ronin’ movie got mostly very negative reviews from top movie critics. Universal Pictures dropped their new fantasy/action flick, “47 Ronin,” into theaters this past Tuesday, December 24th, and the top movie critics in the biz, have submitted their reviews. Overall, they are really, really bad with a 24 score out of 100 across 17 critic reviews at metacritic.com. We’ve served a couple of snippets (below). The movie stars: Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ko Shibasaki, Tadanobu Asano, and Rinko Kikuchi.
Sara Stewart over at the New York Post, gave it a mediocre 50 score, stating, “There’s little sense of urgency, or — oddly, given the film’s title — of scale. You never really think that the 47 are truly outnumbered, and the large action scenes are often just incomprehensible.”
Claudia Puig from the USA Today team, gave it another 50 score. Recently, Clevver Movies served up this new video clip (below), which was filmed just days before Paul Walker’s tragic death out in Southern California. It was an interview they did for his newest film called, “Hours,” but of course, they had to talk about the extremely popular “Fast And Furious” films.
In the clip, Paul was very funny and he explained that he grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and dated many Mexican girls after being asked about his comfort level with the strong Hispanic presence in his movies. As previously reported, Fast and Furious 7 main man, Vin Diesel, hopped on his official Facebook fan page, and revealed that the new 7th installment release date will indeed be pushed back almost a full year, to April 10th, 2015 instead of July 11th,2014, in light of the tragic death of other main man, Paul Walker.
While doing so, Vin also released this new,movie photo (above), which he describes as the last scene he shot with Paul. As we all unfortunately know by now, Paul Walker , who was one of the main stars of the very popular Fast and Furious movies, tragically died in an awful car crash this past Saturday afternoon,November 30th, in Santa Clarita,California.
Now, Universal Pictures has served up this new,video montage clip (below) of Paul Walker’s appearances in the 6 movies minus the 3rd installment, which he did not appear in. it’s a special tribute to him, and it get pretty emotional as they take a look back at Paul’s fantastic journey through the movie series. It features clips of him in the first installment and lots of clips of him in the 2 Fast 2 Furious 2nd installment, which was one of my personal favorites. According to a new report from Hollywood Life, a new eyewitness has revealed more shocking,graphic details of what took place during Paul Walker’s fatal car wreck this past Saturday afternoon,November 30th in Santa Clarita,California. It turns out that this eyewitness almost got hit by the car that Paul Walker was in!
If that weren’t enough, the car immediately burst into huge flames because it hit a tree so got damn hard that it split the tree in half! WTF?
