Phillip Phillips won American Idol 2012 tonight in finale show. Earlier tonight, American Idol 2012 crowned its new champion,but first, it kicked off with some of the top contestants,doing a group performance. After that, Ryan introduced the top 2 finalists Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez to talk a little bit before the first break.

After the break, Phillip and John Fogerty, sang “Seen The Rain” and “Bad Moon Rising. ” Then Joshua Ledet hit the stage with season 3 American Idol champ Fantasia Barrino to sing Elton John’s “Take me to the Pilot” song.

Next, a couple of the top 12 girls, sang a medley of Chaka Khan songs. Then Chaka came on stage to join them and finish it off. Then they showed a segment where Jessica and Phillip invited special people in their lives to the show,and they all were given new Ford cars.

After another break, mega popstar Rihanna, hit the stage to sing her song titled, “Where Have You Been ?” After that, Skyler Lane and Reba McEntire, sang “Turn On The Radio.” Next, Jessica sang an encore performance of “I Will Always Love You.” It was really good too.

Then the top 12 guys, hit the stage to sing a medley Of songs,and Neil Diamond joined them on stage to close it out. After a break, Jennifer Lopez, hit the stage to do a couple of lively performances.

Next,past American Idol contestant Ace Young asked other past contestant Diana Degarmo to marry him,and she said, yes. Then Holly Cavanagh, hit the stage to sing a song with past American Idol champ Jordan Sparks.

After another break, the top 12 guys sang a couple of B.G. songs in tribute to the late Robin Gibb, who just recently passed away. Next, Jessica Sanchez and Jennifer Holiday sang a very soulful ” And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going, ” and they put on quite a show.

After a break, Steven Tyler and Aerosmith, performed a couple of songs,including ” Walk This Way.” Next, Jessica and Phillip, sang ” Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong.” Then, finally, Ryan revealed that Phillip Phillips won American Idol season 11.
