Quentin Tarantino Presents INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS Trailer

Quentin Tarantino just completed filming on “Inglourious Basterds” and the man is ready to deliver us the first trailer and this thing is better than most teaser trailers you get for films already in the can. “Basterds” is lead by Brad Pitt along with Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, and B.J. Novak so this has the potential to be another great Tarantino flick.

During World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “the Basterds” are chosen to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris that is targeted by soldiers.

Inglourious Basterds shoots up theaters on August 21, 2009.

Torture of any kind sickens me and a film that glorifies torture in any way does not seem to be something that will help our world. Obviously I haven’t seen the film and perhaps it has redeeming aspects. I don’t feel that watching people torture any living beings for any reason is edifying.

@Jenn: The story follows a special force set to track down and stop Nazis. While the good guys’ methods may be extreme, I’d rather see them stop the Nazis then let them get away.
