My friend Maisy over at Film.com recently ranked cable’s sexiest women. All I can say about that is: great list! But where’s the love for the sexy men?
I’ll take that as my cue to offer my version of cable’s sexiest studs.

5. Hank Moody, “Californication” (David Duchovny). So Hank’s a slob. He’s a chain-smoking, nasty-mouthed douche. But he sure has a way with the women. Duchovny has always exuded sex (rehab for sexual addiction in case you didn’t know) and he does a great job bringing that to Hank as well.

4. Ray Drecker, “Hung” (Thomas Jane).  The name of the show says it all. Yep, Ray uses his biggest asset to pay the bills. He’s exactly the kind of guy people pay to have sex with (if you’re into that kind of thing) and that’s just judging what’s above the waist.

3. Max Gregson, “The United States of Tara” (John Corbett). Max is the perfect husband and father. And even though his sexiest scene was a solo romp in the shower, what makes him hot is how much of a family man he is. He puts up with a lot from his wife’s multiple personalities and still stays by her side. And he’s totally cool with his teenage son’s homosexuality. That’s something not often seen on TV.

2. Eric Northman, “True Blood” (Alexander Skarsgard). What? Not Bill Compton, you ask. No! I respond. Eric is where it’s at. He’s the most dangerous of vampires because he’s so sexy women and men alike want Eric to have a little bite. And that’s even before he “glamours” you.

1. Dexter Morgan, “Dexter” (Michael C. Hall). Dexter might be a serial killer, but his heart is in the right place. His sex appeal is almost indescribable. It must be the intelligence, mystery, wit and his ability to live on the dark side. There’s something about danger that turns people on and you know it! I guess it doesn’t hurt that Dexter’s got a great smile and body.
