Yoda Star Wars Clone Wars

Later this summer Star Wars is bringing another installment into its legacy. At first I thought “The Clone Wars” was just going to be another part of the cartoon series which had previously run on The Cartoon Network. Not so.

Instead “Clone Wars” will be coming to theaters on August 15th 2008 and is going to make gobs and gobs of money. Best of all, Hayden Christensen won’t be returning to voice over Anakin. Bonus!

From the plot description at IMDB this story will help fill the gap between movie #2 and #3, just after “Attack of the Clones”. Hmm, that still sounds like a joke title.

The Clone Wars are raging between the Separatists and the Galactic Republic. When Jabba the Hutt’s son is taken by a group of renegades, two Jedi are summoned to investigate. Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi depart in search of answers: where is the Hutt’s son, and who is controlling this mysterious renegade group? Yoda sends Ahsoka Tano along as Anakin’s apprentice, Obi-Wan duels Asajj Ventress, and Anakin finds himself dueling Count Dooku once more. Meanwhile, the Sith plan to instigate a three-way war, including the Hutts.

I’ll definitely be heading to a theater that day to see this one.
