I really didn’t know what to think of Matt Damon’s film “The Informant” when I first heard about the based-on-a-true-story flick. Someone should have mentioned this was going to be a comedy, a pretty funny looking comedy at that. I really thought we were getting yet another boring whistle-blower movie like “The Insider.” Definitely not like that. And hey! There’s Joel McHale!

The government decides to go after an agri-business giant with a price-fixing accusation, based on the evidence submitted by their star witness, vice president turned informant Mark Whitacre (Matt Damon).

The Informant rats you out in theaters on October 9, 2009
