This is a new segment I’ve cleverly entitled, ‘Think of the Children’, which will focus on television and movie news for the kiddies. Personally, I’m terrified of those rugrats, but for those with a few of their own, you can catch what’s coming out for them.

Nickelodeon’s animated kids’ series, “The Mighty B!”, is releasing the adventures of Bessie Higgenbottom, voiced by Amy Poehler, on DVD. “Mighty B!” looks like it could easily be one of those cartoons for kids but easily enjoyed by adults. Maybe that’s from the obvious borrowing of Dexter’s Laboratory art style and Poehler’s delivery of Bessie’s lines. The disc has eight episodes along with behind the scenes clips and hits shelves on February 24th, 2009.

To be a bee, or to be the bee: that is the question. But not for Bessie Higgenbottom. This determined, imaginative, and compassionate gal just wants to grow up to be a hero (of the super kind). And for this dedicated member of Honeybee troop #828, that means becoming the mighty bee!

Here’s a video review of “The Mighty B!” by AP’s Frazier Moore:
