Twilight’s Kristen Stewart in major war with Hunger Games Jennifer Lawrence for new movie role. According to a new report from Hollywood life, Twilight Saga mega star Kristen Stewart and Hunger Games main starlet Jennifer Lawrence are currently engaged in a major war over who’s getting this next movie role that they both want very badly.

It’s reported that they’re both competing for the role of character Payton Loftis in a new flick called “Lie Down In Darkness,” and the competition is major right now. Their source told them, “It’s an independent movie, and they see it as a career-making role, like Meryl Streep in Sophie’s Choice. It is very unusual for two actresses to be so vocal in lobbying for a role, and even more unusual that they are the two hottest young actresses of the moment.”

The new movie, revolves around a young woman in 1950s Virginia, who has a nightmarish relationship with her father,and it’s expected to start filming in 2013. Kristen recently told Elle magazine that she wants this role more than anything she can possibly taste or touch in her life.

Jennifer told W, she’s very obsessed with the role. “If someone else gets the part, I’m afraid they won’t do it right. I’m trying to write the director to convince him that I should be in his movie. I’ll chase him if I have to. I’ll sit outside his house.”
