Weekend Movie Earnings: April 10 – 12, 2009
It was Miley Cyrus’ weekend to be in charge at the box office with her “Hannah Montana” movie which took first place with $34 million. Jody Hill’s comedy “Observe and Report” came in fourth on its debut weekend and pulled in $11.1 million. I thoroughly enjoyed the Seth Rogen lead comedy and would recommend it to fans of darker comedies that don’t mind the heavier language. The third new release, “Dragonball,” limped in at 8th with just $4.6 million.
