Young And The Restless 2016 Steve Burton Aka Dylan McAvoy to leave for good. According to a new report from the folks over at Soap Opera Digest, we’re about to see actor, Steve Burton (left), exit the CBS’ hit soap opera show, “Young And The Restless,” for good, taking his portrayal of character, Dylan McAvoy, with him!

Steve recently hit up his official Twitter page to break the bad news to all of his fans, claiming he’s just decided to leave so he can find some new adventures in his life. We do have a ways to go before he exits, though, saying his contact is up in December. So, that sounds like you guys will get to see him for, at least, a few more months.

Here’s how his official Twitter statement read: “Hey everyone, with lots of reflection, I have decided to move on from @YandR_CBS at the end of my contract in Dec. I’ve had an amazing time, but it feels right to move on to new adventures in my life. I can’t say enough about the AWESOME cast and crew. Much respect! Much luv to @CBSDaytime for the great ride. And thank YOU for all your support. Always!”

Steve came on board the “Young and The Restless” train back in 2013 to play the Dylan McAvoy role. They didn’t mention if the show has plans to replace him, or if they’re just going to write Dylan out of the script. We’ll have to keep you guys updated on that. Stay tuned.
