New Creed Movie Got Mostly Positive Reviews From Top Critics

New Creed movie got mostly positive reviews from top critics. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new drama/sport movie “Creed,” into theaters this past Wednesday, November 25th, and all the reviews are in from the top movie critics. It turns out that most of them liked it very much with an overall 82 score out of a possible 100 score across 40 reviews at Metacritic.com.

The movie stars: Michael B. Jordan, Phylicia Rashad, Sylvester Stallone and Tessa Thompson. We’ve added comments from a few of the critics,below.

Mick LaSalle from the San Francisco Chronicle, gave it a perfect 100 score, saying: “Rocky might not be the brightest guy, but he knows things. He has his limitations, but he is, in his own way, extraordinary, and when we look at his/Stallone’s face, we can have no doubt that Rocky has gone through life and learned things. He has been awake all these years, and growing. With no exaggeration, this is a beautiful and moving thing to see.”

A.O. Scott from The New York Times, gave it a 100 score too, stating: “Creed is a dandy piece of entertainment, soothingly old-fashioned and bracingly up-to-date.”

New James Bond Spectre movie got mixed reviews from top critics. Columbia Pictures released their new action flick, “Spectre” into theaters this weekend, and all the reviews are in from the top movie critics. It turns out that they were pretty mixed about it, giving it an overall 60 score out of a possible 100 across 47 reviews at Metacritic.com.

The movie stars: Andrew Scott, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista, Léa Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes. We’ve also added comments from a few of the critics,below.

Mick LaSalle at the San Francisco Chronicle, gave it an excellent 100 score, saying: “One of the great satisfactions of Spectre is that, in addition to all the stirring action, and all the timely references to a secret organization out to steal everyone’s personal information, we get to believe in Bond as a person.”

Stephen Whitty at the New York Daily News, gave it an 80 score, stating: “Craig is cruelly efficient. Dave Bautista makes a good, Oddjob-like assassin. And while Lea Seydoux doesn’t leave a huge impression as this film’s “Bond girl,” perhaps it’s because we’ve already met — far too briefly — the hypnotic Monica Bellucci, as the first real “Bond woman” since Diana Rigg.”

New Burnt movie got mixed reviews from top critics. The Weinstein Company released their new drama/comedy flick, “Burnt,” into theaters this weekend, and all the top movie critics have submitted their reviews for it. It turns out that it got a mixed bag with an overall 42 score out of a possible 100 across 27 reviews at Metacritic.com.

The movie stars: Bradley Cooper, Daniel Brühl, Omar Sy, Riccardo Scamarcio and Sienna Miller. We’ve added comments from a few of the critics,below.

Rex Reed from the New York Observer, gave it a 75 score, stating: “A mildly entertaining but well acted, sumptuously photographed and smartly written comedy with dark undertones about culinary addiction that can only be called “delicious.” See it and then check your cholesterol.”

Chris Nashawaty at Entertainment Weekly, gave it a 58 score, saying: “Just when you think you know where Burnt is headed, there’s an underhanded twist about halfway in. And it’s almost enough to set the movie right.”

New The Martian movie got mostly positive reviews from top critics. 20th Century FOX released their new Sci-Fi/adventure flick, “The Martian,” into theaters this weekend, and all the reviews are in from the top movie critics. It turns out that most of them really liked it with an overall 81 score out of a possible 100 across 45 reviews at Metacritic.com.

The movie stars: Jeff Daniels, Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Kristen Wiig and Matt Damon. We’ve added comments from a few of the critics,below.

Joe Morgenstern from the Wall Street Journal, gave it a perfect 100 score, saying: “What’s so fascinating about the film is that it truly turns on the solving of problems, and its chief solver, stuck on Mars, manages to be so funny, interesting and infallibly likable that you’re invested in his predicament at every moment.”

Chris Nashawaty at Entertainment Weekly, gave it a 91 score. He said: “Scott’s sci-fi adventure is the kind of film you leave the theater itching to tell your friends to see. Like Apollo 13 and Gravity, it turns science and problem solving into an edge-of-your-seat experience.”

Kenneth Turan from the Los Angeles Times, gave it a 90 grade, stating: “The Martian is a film that respects the geekiest among us, and that pays off all around.”

Alonso Duralde from TheWrap, gave it a great 90 grade, saying: “Perhaps most importantly, not only does the film stress the importance of using math and physics and botany and chemistry to solve problems, but it also makes a plot based on scientific inquiry and audacity just as exciting and even more unpredictable as the movies’ usual brand of problem-solving, the kind that involves punching everyone and then blowing everything up.”

Peter Debruge from Variety, gave it a 90 score. He stated: “An enthralling and rigorously realistic outer-space survival story.”
