Days Of Our Lives 2016 to bring Freddie Smith Aka Sonny Kiriakis back,new details. According to a new report from the Soapcentral folks, The Days Of Our Lives crew is all set to bring back actor, Freddie Smith (left), to reprise his Sonny Kiriakis character.

This awesome news was apparently confirmed earlier this year, and now he has signed the dotted line to come back.

Since Freddie has actually signed a contract, it’s believed he may be sticking around for a while. Ken Corday, who is the executive producer for Days, recently dropped some spoiler hints for what we can expect to see from Sonny’s return.

It turns out that we’re going to see him try to get his family through some rough patches. Ken stated: “Sonny returns to Salem to help his family through tough times and his relationship with Paul grows. Paul will be coming more to the foreground with Sonny back in town.”

The last time we saw Sonny on the scene, was back in late 2015 for the funeral of his husband, Will, who was murdered by the Necktie Killer. It’s believed that Sonny and Paul might try to continue exploring their romantic situation. It’s reported that Sonny is expected back in action sometime in July 2016, so keep your eyes peeled for that, and stay tuned.
