New Kung Fu Panda 3 Movie Got Mostly Positive Reviews From Top Critics
New Kung Fu Panda 3 movie got mostly positive reviews from top critics. 20th Century FOX released their new animated/comedy flick, “Kung Fu Panda 3,” into theaters this weekend, and all the reviews are in from the top movie critics. It looks like it went over pretty well with the, for the most part, scoring and overall 65 score out of a possible 100 across 22 reviews at Metacritic.com.
The movie stars: Angelina Jolie, Bryan Cranston, David Cross, Dustin Hoffman, J.K. Simmons, Jack Black, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu and Seth Rogen. We’ve included comments from a few of the critics, below.
Gary Goldstein from the Los Angeles Times, gave it an 80 score, stating: “A beautifully rendered, lovingly constructed action-comedy that’s sure to please kids and adults alike.”
Neil Genzlinger at The New York Times, gave it an 80 grade too, saying: “Lots of comedic fight scenes break up the story’s more somber stretches, and the animation, especially in 3-D, is simply gorgeous.”
Alonso Duralde from TheWrap, gave it an 80 score. He said: “It’s cohesive and cathartic enough to make a fourth entry unnecessary, but at the same time, it’s entertaining and gorgeous enough to make the prospect of same something to welcome.”
Justin Chang from Variety, gave it an 80. He said: “Emotionally, dramatically and perhaps most of all visually (it’s worth seeing in 3D), this delightful trilogy capper is almost as generously proportioned as its cuddly warrior hero, restoring a winning lightness of touch to the saga while bringing its long-running themes of perseverance and self-knowledge to satisfying fruition.”
Glenn Kenny from RogerEbert.com, gave it a 75 score, saying: “In spite of its abundant action — and for all the interspecies mashups, this is as much an action-adventure animated movie as it is a funny-animal animated movie — is a pretty relaxing experience for the adult viewer.”
Chritian Holub from Entertainment Weekly, gave it a 75 grade, stating: “Just complicated enough to reward steady viewers and just simple enough for parent escorts to enjoy without much prior knowledge.”
