Young And The Restless 2016 Justin Hartley Aka Adam to leave the show. According to a new report from TV Line, actor Justin Hartley (left), who plays character, Adam Newman, on CBS’ “Young And The Restless” show, has confirmed that he’s exiting the show to make time for his new fulltime NBC show, “This Is Us,” which is scheduled to debut on Tuesday night, September 20th, 2016.

Justin hit up his official Facebook account to write a thankyou letter to his fans, saying: “To the wonderful fans of Y&R. After many weeks of having to keep quiet in order not to spoil [Adam’s ‘death’] for all of you, the time has finally come that I’m able to write you this letter. Although, I am saying goodbye to Y&R, this is not a goodbye letter.

I felt it was more important to write a thank you note. Each and every one of you helped make my time on the show enjoyable. Although I’m leaving the show, you haven’t gotten rid of me. I’m beyond thrilled and proud of my new series, This Is Us, premiering September 20th on NBC.”

Justin played Adam for 2 years, starting way back in August 2014 after Michael Muhney left. Stay tuned.
